FAQ: Interview with Kim Williams
Q: How long have you been planning weddings & events and how did you get started in this profession?
A: Having spent some 30 years in the Corporate Video and Event business,
organising events, product launches, video shoots and productions and planning my own Wedding, I have turned my experience into offering a personal service for busy
couples planning their Wedding Day. I started K.I.S.S Weddings in 2009.
Q: What sets you apart from other planners?
A: I personally deal with every couple from the first consultation right through to 'On the Day'.
My strengths are in scheduling, budgeting,
administration and ensuring deadlines are met. Everything a Bride
shouldn't haven't to worry about leading up to her special day.
I will always get back to you in a timely
manner and you are always a priority for me, because I only work with a
limited number of brides per year. If you have a question or request, I
will give you a deadline for answering or completing it, right then and
there. And meet it.
My brides say that I believe in their dreams and am able to bring them to reality.

Q: Do you work with other suppliers besides your preferred suppliers and do you take commissions?
A:
We will work with any reputable supplier you have and we do not take commissions, but we do encourage the suppliers to use whatever
compensation they would normally give us and pass it on to the bride.
Q: We love your packages but they seem a bit expensive.
Are we going to be able to afford it?
A: On the average it takes about 200 hours to plan a wonderful and
beautiful wedding, broken down that equals to 5 forty hour weeks. Do
you have time for that? I’ve had many brides tell me how much they’ve saved in time,
money and energy working with me. I have a tried and tested checklist, I know where you need to go first to get
what you want, and what questions to ask once you get there. And If you
don’t quite know what you want yet, I know how to get you to the point
where you do. Time. Money. Energy. Saved.Q: Who do you work best with?
A: You will benefit best from
working with me if you want your wedding to happen in less than a year,
possibly a few months or weeks, but you realize that you either don’t
have the time, the resources or the know-how to get it done, and you are
ready to make the investment to make your dream wedding a reality.
Q: Will I lose control of my own wedding if you are planning it for me?A: No. That is not the
point of a Wedding Planner. The point is that I work as an extension of
who you are and of your creativity.
You are the focus of your wedding.
I’m just here to help you to realize your dreams for that day.
